February 1, 2003
So many things have happen sense I last wrote.
I had our first doctor's appointment. The first thing they did was to weigh me and have me pee in a cup. Then I put in an exam room. They did a pap smear and checked the size of my uterus. I think that was the neatest thing. They pushed on my lower tummy and felt for my uterus. I could feel them do this and could feel you. It was so cool to know that uterus I just felt had you rapidly growing inside of me. Once they were all done doing that mommy got dressed and headed to have a bunch of blood drawn for tests. They scheduled my next appointment for February 12, 2003.
Yesterday was Mom's 28th Birthday and I sure felt old. It was a very nice relaxing day. It started with going to breakfast at the Cracker Barrel with your grandma, grandpa, and Auntie Susan. The whole place sang Happy Birthday to me. I was so embarrassed!! We then spent the day just running some errands. When your daddy got home from work he took me out to dinner at Steak N Ale. When we got to the restaurant your daddy had a special surprise for mommy. On our table was 2 dozen red and white long stem roses and a cute little red teddy bear to add to my collection along with a sweet card. I thought I was going to loose it. The tears started and I was so surprised. I was just happy to be going to dinner there because their food is so delicious. I had prime rib, bake potato, french onion soup and their yummy bread. It is a good thing you are so small because I was stuffed and you had no room to move. It was such a nice birthday. Relaxing and enjoyable, the way every birthday should be.
I must admit this has for the most part been an easy pregnancy. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow and for the most part I have no complaints or side effects. I have a little nausea in the morning but as long as I eat a few cracker before getting out of bed and move real slow I am fine. The only "little" problem I have is, I am so tired. I have always gotten tired easily but now it takes nothing for me to want to sleep the day away.
You are such a perfect angel. I cannot ask for a better pregnancy. Everyday that passes gets me more excited because it's one more day closer to you.
