January 30, 2001
My entry date should actually be 1/29/01, but it won't let me do two for the same date.
I just wanted to update my post from earlier. A good friend told me that all the things
I was feeling reminded her of when she had pre-eclampsia. I was having headaches,
visual disturbances, and trouble breathing. I left a message for my nurse who left a
message for me to go to the hospital and to have someone else drive me. So I called
my buddy Jennifer, bawling, and she came to get me. I left Baylie at a neighbor's
house. Everything ended up being fine, but I guess they wanted to make sure.
Mom met me there, so she got to hear the baby's heartbeat.
I got to check out the Labor & Delivery rooms. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub! Cool!
I totally want that same room, The nurse said two of the rooms have those type of
tubs. They also have monitors they use in the water. She said just to ask for one
when I come in to L&D. I asked about recording the birth. She said I could record
my labor and after the cut the cord, but not during the delivery for liability reasons.
We also saw two newborns in the nursery... They were so sweet!!!
So, all's well now at Casa Lamontagne. I'll post after my appointment on Friday.
Dawn (EDD 6/14)
