31 weeks, 4 days

Kirt and I went to our class on Friday night. It was really cool. It was called Massage and Relaxation for Labor Support. We started off by talking about our first birth and what we wanted from this labor. It felt really good to talk about it all. It made it seem even more real. People have been saying "Wow. You're getting so big! How much longer?" It's nice to say "Only about 7 weeks!" (going by the 39th week induction).
Anyway, back to the class... It was just the three of us, because the therapist says it keeps the guys from feeling uncomfortable. Kirt really is great about doing things that need to be done and being attentive, so I wasn't really worried. We asked about having a doula, but she said she could tell by our communication, etc. that we would be fine and wouldn't need anyone else to be there. We'll still have Missy there probably so Kirt can have his breaks. So we read through a really interesting packet the instructor gave us, practiced relaxation processes, and I got a massage. Afte she would do a technique, Kirt was supposed to copy it, and I was asked what I thought. I just laid there drooling and saying "That's great" each time. It was wonderful! She also talked to me about the 5-W and Evening Primrose Oil I'm taking to shorten labor and start contractions. It's also supposed to thin the cervix. She also showed me some pressure points to induce contractions. I thought that was cool. She knew I preferred not to be induced, but also didn't want to go much longer because of the size she already is.

Not much else is going on besides that. I'm fairly uncomfortable. I have another appoinment on Friday. I will definantly not eat a big lunch before I go this time! That (hopefully) will level out the whole weight thing!
