To Baylie & Camryn:
Girls, I want to tell you how much I love you both. We've all learned this week how suddenly life can be ended. No one ever dies thinking "Man, I'm glad I worked long hours for all that money." Because the truth is, money can't buy happiness or love. You girls have shown me how to love. I never knew how much I could love someone until I looked in to your eyes.
The Nation is still struggling to get back to normal, daily life after last weeks attacks. It is so sad all the lives that were lost. It makes me sadder to know that there were probably several people who weren't saved who thought they had one more day to think about it.
But the truth is, we don't know when our last day will be, only God does. This tragedy has opened up discussion around the country about God and has scared people back into church. In a crisis there is only one thing that makes sense. That's God. He's always present and has all the answers.
It's been so amazing to watch t.v. and hear people openly talking about turning to God. It's never happened before. It took a massive atack on the Nation to open their eyes concerning religion.
We, as Christians, have a remarkable opportunity to witness to millions of people about Jesus Christ due to this tragedy. Thousands of peole will be saved because of it. Praise the Lord!
On Sunday we sang "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" It reminds us who is in control. Here are the words:
A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and pow'r are great,
And, armed with cruel hate.
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving eould be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth is His name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
He WILL win the battle. We have a strong, Christian President who is not rushing into war, but thinking things through. In Romans, it says that we are to submit to our Government as the autority. It also says that the government has a responsibilty to punish evildoers. This act was definantly "evil". They will be punish here on earth and on Judgement Day.
This entry has taken a turn away form what I intended, but all of this is importnat stuff. I hope you will never experience loss or hatred like this. But if you do, you know who to turn to.
We love you, Dad and Mommy
