Camryn had her 4 month shots and check up yesterday. I hate the look they give you as they get the shots. It's heartbreaking. She cried a lot less than her sister did at her four year shots!
At 12lbs, 14oz. she's in the 25% for weight and 30% for height (24 1/4 inches). Doctor Mitchell wasn't very happy that she's only gained 8 ounces since her two month appointment. She asked me if I thought I produced enough, etc. I told her she didn't nurse very long per session, but that she also spits up a LOT. I go through 5 or more burp cloths a day. She has done this all her life, not just since I added cereal and fruits. I told her I had been worried since she has started to drop weight AND was eating just as often with nursing and cereal. After hearing what I had to say, Dr. Mitchell decided we should do an Upper GI tomorrow on her.
We have to be there at 9:15 in the morning. It's going to be a stressful day since she's not allowed to eat for four hours before the procedure. I plan on waking her up at 5 to feed her, then letting her go back to sleep. Then at least her last feeding won't have been tonight. The drive should prove to be the ultimate test on my nerves since it's at least 45 minutes in traffic with her screaming all the way, no doubt!
