6 weeks, 4 days
I got my hCG levels from Friday back this morning. They went from 475 to 4,200 in a week! Yippeee! Last time I was scared and just felt like something was wrong, but this pregnancy I've felt very secure and calm. I think I just "know" this is going to be OK. I'm still a little in shock, though. This is really going to end in me huffing and puffing and screaming and crying as I welcome a new baby into our family. My husband has said repeatedly he would like a son, but that he really just wants a healthy baby. Baylie says we're having a brother AND a sister. We're hoping she's not right. We'll find out at our appointment, I guess.
We went to my mother-in-law's house this weekend. I went to get some maternity clothes. I know I won't need them for a while, but from what I've read most people grow out their regular clothes around 12 week and sooner for second babies. The next time we go to San Antonio I'll be 11 weeks. So, I'm hoping to avoid the day I stand in my closet and cry because I grew out of everything!
I asked my hubby to read my introduction and entry. He said he liked them, but I had to explain all the terms to him. So I decided to write everything out. Someday when my child reads this, he/she won't know what I meant anyway ...
I have also bought a few inexpensive toys, etc. Last summer I sold almost everything we had because I had given up trying to have another baby. The girl who used my crib is giving that back. So is the lady who bought my high chair. I also got my swing from the people who used it, so that's a good start. The big challenge is finding a place for all the toys in the playroom/ baby room. We're going to give the huge dresser Baylie has to the baby and get her a new frame and a tall dresser. Hopefully that will give me more room for some of her toys.
Can I just say again, "I'm so excited to be writing this diary!!!"? This will be such a wonderful item to cherish someday. I hope my TTM board will be up soon so I can talk to everyone!
