Dawn L's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 7, 2001

Things are really going well here. Last week Camryn had gained 4 ounces in two days and her meds were switched.

This week we went to the LC again and found that my sweetie has gained 7 ounces in 6 days! Wow! I was beaming. I have decided just to check her weight at her 6 month check up since things seem to be going well.

I cant believe Camryn is already 5 months old. She's really changing. She likes to try to sit up now. She can lean forward and sit unsupported very well. But today she has sat straight up several times. I can't wait for Daddy to walk in from a long day at work and find her playing in the living room on her blanket while sitting up! Won't he be surprised!

I think Camryn is teething. She has two bumps on the bottom that are really pushing on her poor little gums. She couldn't sleep last night because of the pain. I finally got her to calm down with some Oragel and tylenol. She only slept six hours all night though. I hope they come through soon. It's so sad to see her in pain.

Well, even though Baylie is four we had never had a trama that involved blood until this afternoon. Baylie was is the backyard playing when she tripped and hit her lip on the wood that goes around the playare in our backyard. I was on the phone with Missy and I just dropped the phone and ran to the backyard. I've never seemn so much blood before. I almost flipped out. She busted her top lip pretty bad. It's all swollen and purple. I don't think I was as calm as I should have been... poor Baylie was so upset she almost lost it. I'll try to control my surprise if it ever happens again. Like a good mommy I caved and put on Mary Kate and Ashley's Sleepover Party tape that I had previously said she couldn't watch. Whatever she wants, right? *grin*

I think that's all that happened of importance this week!
