May 11, 2004
I went to see my Perinatologist today, I am not approximately 31.5 weeks pregnant. I have had some bleeding in the past week or so which is not uncommon for me, and also some major cramping. I was shocked to see that I have gained a little short of 20 lbs since getting pregnant, I thought for sure I was still around 17 from my last appointment. Baby must be getting big. My kidneys are still enlarged but they say that is somewhat common during pregnancy, and to watch for signs of urinary infections. I was hoping that my doctor would give me a date of induction so that I could get my parents down here to help with Allie and then have them take her home with them for a mini Allie vacation (they live about 6 hours away). My doctor said no based on the fact that I was induced with allie and my body DID NOT tolerate induction well at all. With my history of bleeding she doesn't want to force my body to do something that is is not ready for. That was hard because I was so sure she would give me a firm date to induce.
Names -
I am pretty sure that I am going to name the baby Joshua James M****, my favorite name still remains Brady but the initials of BJ and BM did not seem like a good idea. I also liked monroe but apparently there is some TV character that was gay by that name, (mind you I have nothing against gay/lesbian people) BUT when every person I mentioned it to said the same thing then I figured I couldn't start my kid off like that... so Josh it is.
Allie.
Allie is 3 and a half and is experiencing a pregnancy of her owm, at first it was a buuterfly but changed later to 2 blue ladybugs, they kick, they sleep and now they go out to dinner and to gymnastics all by themselves. A few weeks ago we were on our way to an engagement party when she started saying ouch, owie, I turned around concerned that she wa hurt, she told me that her back and belly hurt, upon asking why? she responded that the ladybugs were kickin'. Thats my sweet angel. She is really going to be a good big sister.
I should be going off work in the next few weeks, my Doctor would sign me out now or when I was 8 weeks pregnant for that matter, But since I will be a single mom to two kids in a matter of months I dont want to go on disability yet.
I am very sleepy, today I am taking a half a day off work to go get photos taken on the beach of as the photographer refers to it "my ripe belly"
Lots of Love Liz
