Holly's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 21, 2004

I had a Dr appointment today. I had to do the 1 hour glucose test which I will know the
result of tomorrow. I don’t remember how I felt after the glucose test with Abbey, but this time I got really tired and VERY thirsty after the test. My sil had gestational diabetes. maybe I should ask her how she felt. I have gained three pounds since last appointment. In case you are wondering that is a total of 10 pounds. My dr. has scheduled another ultrasound for two weeks to make sure Emily is developing properly. I am happy about getting to see her again. I am not worried that there is something wrong. I had trouble gaining weight with Abbey also. I am just happy we can make doubly sure that she is
actually a girl.

I have been nesting big time this last week. When I was pregnant with Abbey I worked an hour from home so I didn’t feel like doing much of anything when I got home from work. This time I am home all week long. So I have been scrubbing everything. I have given at least two large bags of clothes to the Salvation Army. Abbey and Emily will be sharing a bedroom so I have been trying to get that room organized. Abbey’s room is decorated in butterflies and Emily’s bedding is Winnie the Pooh with some butterflies on it so I am glad I don’t have to buy new bedding for either girl. I kept the color of the furniture the same when I changed Abbey’s room from the pooh to the butterflies so everything blends nicely.

This weekend we are going to visit the grandparents. All of Abbey & Emily’s
grandparents live with 10 miles of each other. We live two hours away. So we only get to visit once a month. It gives Abbey something to look forward to. She wants to go to her cousins house and ride his pony this weekend but it is suppose to snow. So I hope I can talk her out of it. That is about all that is going on with is lately.
