Holly's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 19, 2004

I had my 32 week check up yesterday. I have gained two more pounds. Everyone seemed
happy to hear that. Everything is fine with the baby. The Dr. said he guesses that Emmy
will be about 6 pounds and 6 ounces. That is almost exactly what her sister weighed. So I
am going to believe him. I am doing great. I have even been able to sleep a little better at night. My only complaint is the Braxton Hicks contractions are happening more often and I have had some slight nausea which isn’t too bad. While at the appointment Abbey told the Dr. that I was throwing up because the baby kicks all the time. While yes she does kick all the time, I haven’t thrown up in months. I couldn’t believe it when the Dr. told me that my next appointment will be my last visit at every two weeks and we would be moving to every week. I only had two of those before Abbey was born so now I am getting more nervous. Everything has really moved so fast. I have had plans to get belly pics taken and have not gotten around to that yet. It is on my do to list for the weekend so is shopping
for a new livingroom. At the least I want a fold out couch so if we have company after
the baby they will have a place to sleep.

Last week I took Abbey to be fitted for her flowergirl dress. She is in a wedding this June. I am hoping I can be in shape by then. Of course they didn’t have her size and want me to come back in 6-8 weeks which is exactly when I am due. While we were there we visited the mall. My sister thought it would be a good idea if Abbey made Emmy a bear at he Build a Bear Workshop. Abbey picked out a pink poodle and we put a button in it so it would play Brahms Lullaby. Then picked out an outfit for it. Of course Abbey had to have a matching pink poodle. She is so patient she wants her sister to be here already. I am taking her to a big sisters/brothers are special class on March 2. My husband Mike and I decided not to attend Lamaze or another childbirth class. We signed up for one with Abbey but then didn’t’t go. I don’t think we really missed anything so I am not worried about not attending a class this time. I guess that is all that has been going on with us. I
will update again later.
