This has been a pretty busy week for us. Monday Abbey had gymnastics. She really likes
going to gymnastics class and is doing really well. After gymnastics Emmy had a Drs.
appointment. My little chunky monkey now weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces. She was 7 lb. 1 oz
at birth. The Dr. said everything looks good so we made an appointment for another
check up in three weeks. I made one for Abbey too who turns four next Sunday.
Emmy’s umbilical stump fell off so we go to give her her first bath. She loves the water as much as her sister did. She has some baby acne though the Dr. said not to worry about it that it would go away. I hope it clears up before her big sisters birthday party.
Speaking of her big sister she showed the first signs of jealousy. We went to visit Mike’s great grandparents and her mamaw was there. Abbey would not allow her to hold the
baby. She kept putting herself in between them and saying hold me read to me. She
doesn’t do this at home. She is so sweet and loving to her sister.
Mike’s aunt made the most beautiful photo collage of Emmy. It is a black frame with
black and white pictures of her. The first picture is of the ear and the second is a profile and the last is of her feet. It is so pretty. I hung it at the end of our hall.
I have been trying to get ready for Abbey’s birthday party. I made goody bags this week
and need to sit down and make the pinata. It is a care bear party so I m using all different colors. I have just had such trouble getting anything done. Its like I am moving in slow motion. I hope it gets better as I get use to having two kids instead of one.
I finally made the appointment for my postpartum check up. Its scheduled for the first week of June. In a way I really miss my job. I worked weekends for Hospice and I love what I did. I love Hopice I loved my patients. A part of me is going to hate leaving the girls while I work even though I know Mike will take great care of them.
