Jackie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

August 9, 2001

19 weeks 5 days

I can't believe I'm almost 1/2 way! I am really enjoying my pregnancy and the baby is getting more active every day. Not that it wasn't before but I can feel he/she several times during the day. Sometimes it lasts for quite awhile. I love it!!!

I went to the DR on Tues. Nothing too exciting happened. The heartbeat was sure a lot louder this time and still up at 160. She felt my tummy and said she could feel that my uterus was even with my belly button. Right where I should be. All my blood tests came back just fine. The triple screen was a BFN! I'm so glad everything is fine. One thing they forgot to check is if I'm immune to chicken pox. I've never had them (that I or my mom no of). So they will check that next time blood is drawn. So now I'm good to go until next month which I will have to schedule my GTT.

I also sceduled my childbirth and newborn prep classes. They start next month on Sept. 18th. They are every Tues. night from 7-9 p.m. for 10 weeks. The first 6 weeks are on childbirth, 2 weeks on newborn care, and 2 weeks on breastfeeding. A lot to look forward to!! DH is excited to start going. Some classes he will miss due to graveyard shift so his sister will go with me.

We've put off shopping for the baby until after my u/s which is on the 22nd. My matching dresser to our crib is in so we will pick that up and the crib mattress the end of that week. I think I might go and start getting registered too. I know time will start flying by and before I know it,We it will be the count down to B-day.

With nothing else to report I will end my entry here. We leave Sun. for a weeks vacation at the coast so I will be back after that and hopefully reveal my u/s results!!!

Take care!
