Jenea's Diary Entries

April 27, 1999

I know, I know. I haven't updated in a while, but I have been SOOOOOO busy!! I got a new job at my husband's company working from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day and I leave at 6:45 a.m. (we work an hour away, in Wilmington, Delaware). I don't get home until close to 6:30 at night. By the time I cook us something to eat, clean up a tad bit and finally sit down to rest, I barely have the strength to lift a finger. UGH.

BUT I am going to be 13 weeks on Sunday and I am so excited. I feel my baby moving and grooving inside me and it is SUCH a wonderful feeling!!! =) At first I thought it was just gas when I felt it last week, but it has continued on so I KNOW that it is my baby. It is different from when I was pregnant with my daughter. She KICKED and PUNCHED at me. This feels more like the baby is ROLLING. It tickles my tummy, actually...=)

I am anxious for my next appointment on May 3rd because my hubby is coming to this one with me!!! WOOHOO!!! We will most likely get to hear the heartbeat and I am so excited because they will also do another ultrasound most likely since it is that time in the pregnancy. They do the U/S to make sure everything is okay -- arms- and legs-wise. =) I can't wait...=)

I registered at Babies R Us this past Saturday with hubby. =) This is something that I did not get to do with my daughter because she was two months premature. I did not get to have a baby shower with her and after she was born, when the hospital told us she could come home, we SCRAMBLED around looking for any old thing we could find. I mean we had SOME stuff, like diapers. But we didn't have the things that we NEEDED, like a crib and a car seat. My mother sent us $150.00 worth of gift certificates to Wal Mart and we bought a crib and a mattress and a carseat/carrier for her. Those were the only two things that we desperately needed. Baby clothes we had enough for up to a certain point, but by that time we were able to buy new stuff for her and had stuff sent to us for her. THIS TIME I am going to be prepared!!!! =) I have the cradle already that my grandmother gave to me and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! Of course, I still have the crib from Samantha but I will wait until the baby is a bit bigger for that before I use it. =) The cradle rocks and it is white wicker. It is SOOO beautiful!!! We also have TWO high chairs and a big bag of baby clothes that my mom gave us that I wore when I was a baby!! I had some REALLY cute stuff!! =) It has to be washed though because it has been in my grandmother's attic all these years. Can you imagine?! There is one outfit in there that is TOOOOO adorable!! I can't wait for the baby to be able to wear it!!

Not much else is going on with us. Again, I am sorry that I haven't updated lately but I have been so busy!! Talk to you ladies and gents again soon!

Til the end of time....
