*almost 36 weeks and doing well*
APPOINTMENT UPDATE
We had an appt. this morning and things went fine. My bp was really good and I am up 1 pound from 2 weeks ago, putting me at 15 pounds so far. There was no protein in my urine and no real problems. My doc did the group B strep test, a real pleasure let me assure you, and I will find out the results at the next appt.
I am still having a lot of swelling so he wants to start seeing me every week from now until Carson is born. He wasn't too worried since my urine was fine, my bp was fine, and I wasn't up a whole lot in the weight gain department...I feel good that he wants to start watching me closer though, helps my mind relax a bit!
FEELINGS
I am feeling pretty good right now. The swelling is horrible some days but on other days I am much better. Yesterday my fingers looked like sausage links and according to Eric, my hands looked like Cabbage Patch Kids hands (you know, inverted knuckles and chubby fingers!!)...thanks for the support honey!:)
I am having more and more trouble sleeping just because I can't get comfortable, but we are getting by. I have also started snoring, poor Eric (deal with it bubba!!!) The heartburn is so much better and I really haven't had to take my reglan too much, only when it gets too bad to handle with TUMS.
CHANGES
My tummy is getting so huge, I love it! I look, and feel, very pregnant. Carson still moves around quite a bit in there and enjoys kicking my ribs at 3am...what a sweet boy we have here!:) The funny thing about my appearance is that Carson's whole body lays on one side of my tummy...so I look very lopsided sometimes!
SHOWERS
My mom is throwing a shower for Eric and I this coming Sunday, we are so excited. My grandma is coming into town from Ohio to be here from the shower and will stay until the middle of May so she can meet her newest great-grandbaby. We are thrilled that she will be here!
Work gave me a surprise shower last week. It was awesome. I was so surprised and had the best time. We got lots of cool stuff. My co-workers went in together and got us a travel swing with lights and music, and one of the excersaucers.
I am really starting to feel like this little guy will be here soon, we are getting so excited. We still have a lot to do, but I am really enjoying getting this place ready for a baby!
My next appt is Monday April 7th
