Let me start off by saying a big thank you to Jennifer from Toddlers Today for sharing our big news with you all!
As many of you know already, Carson James Thomas was born on April 16th at 6:15am. He is a beautiful little boy and Eric and I are totally in love with him. He weighed 6 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20 and 1/4 inches long. He has a head of dark brown hair, beautiful dark grey eyes (will be brown), long fingers, huge feet, and a great temperment.
I will post a complete birth story as soon as I have the time but I just wanted to say hi to you all and give you a quick idea as to how we are doing.
Carson was born by emergency c-section after I was induced for severe pregnancy induced hypertension. We were in the hospital since our appt on Monday and we just got home today (saturday).
Carson is a bit jaundiced and I am having to supplement with formula because we are also having some nursing issues. My milk has not come in and this little guy gets so frustrated that he will only suck for a few minutes than unlatch and scream at the top of his lungs. Right now we are seeing a lactation consultant and will see her again on monday. We are nursing for as long as he will without screaming, than Eric gives him some enfamil with iron while I pump my breasts to continue stimulation. If anyone else has any good ideas to help us out, I would love any advice given.
We have to go to the hospital monday for another billirubin test, hopefully he will not need billi lights. My staples come out Wednesday and his first pediatric appt is wednesday as well.
Our families are in love with him and he has had many visitors already. My inlaws who live 600 miles away came in today for a one day visit just to meet this special little guy!
He is wonderful and I am in love so deep. If anyone is interested in pictures, eric has started a website (of course)
