*Carson is 26 days old*

Wow! I can't believe my baby boy will already be a month old on Friday. He is getting so big already and is such a great baby. We are so blessed and I already can't remember what life was like without him.

*My sweet boy*
Carson is doing great. He is more alert now and enjoys his play time. He hates tummy time with a passion but we still do it, what a nice mommy!:)

He has a play gym with toys that hang over him while he lies on his back. the toys dance and can be stimulated with his touch. Yesterday he actually touched the toys, three times in a row. I know it was probably accidental, but it was so cool!:)

Carson loves to be held and talked to, he loves music and being read to. This boy is so awesome, he stares right into my eyes and I think my heart is going to melt.

We recently bought Carson a swing and he loves it. he loves the music and the toys that hang down from the bar. This boy will sit in his swing for a long time without being fussy.

Carson is only fussy when hungry or needs a diaper change. the funny thing is that this boy hates to be wet or dirty and cries until changed, but also hates to be changed so he always cries when on the changing table.

He is eating so well, actually I think we need to buy stock in the formula company. I think he would eat constantly if we let him! Right now he is doing about 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hours. He makes the cutest little "pucker up" face when he is hungry, it is adorable. I think he is gaining a ton of weight and this boy will probably end up being a really long, chunky baby!

Carson is so tall that I have already had to retire some of the 0-3 month clothes that have feet in them because they are too short. He is still so skinny though that those same clothes look huge on him, but he just doesn't have room to stretch his big old feet! Maybe we have a basketball player on our hands, my brother would love that.

*our sleep problems* Help and advice needed...

For the most part, I have nothing to complain about. Things are getting better in the sleep department, but we still have one issue.

No matter what I do, Carson thinks that play time is between 3 and 6 in the morning. I am not a morning person and don't want to play this early. We keep him awake as much as possible in the evening and that helps a bit, but he still wants to play early.

I have tried swaddling him, giving him his pacifier, and just letting him lie there...nothing helps. He is not fussy at all at this time, just awake and wanting attention.

He usually goes 3 1/2 to 4 hours between feeds at night, and at the other feeds he will go back to sleep with a little rocking and singing...but not at this meal.

He naps well during the day, but doesn't sleep all day. Does anyone know of anything else I need to do to get him to sleep a bit longer in the am?

*Grandparents*
My parents are so in love with this boy. they need to see him so often and go through withdrawal if more than a few days go by without a visit. They already spoil him rotten and always have a new outfit or toy for him when they see him. My brother, who has never really liked children, is also so in love with Carson...he is always calling and checking on us or coming by for a visit, it is pretty cute.

*Mother's Day*
Eric was so good! He actually remembered mother's day, I was very surprised because he tends to be a very forgetful man. He bought me a card from him, one from the baby, one from the dog, and one from the cats. He got me a great magnet from Carson that has a nice poem on it, some chocolate, and a beautiful bracelet. The bracelet is silver beads with Carson's name on it and mine and Carson's birthstones. It was such a great day. We went to church with family and then to a nice brunch. It was so strange and wonderful to actually be celebrating mother's day as a mom, it seems we have waited such a long time for this little guy to come into our lives.

I will wrap this up for now. I am taking my final for school tomorrow and am currently procrastinating from studying and writing a paper!:) I am getting some one-month pictures taken of Carson this week and will get some new pics added to his website soon:) If anyone wants to see my beautiful boy...his site is still

Have a great week
