*Carson is 11 weeks old today*
It has been so long since I have written, I am just so busy loving on this little boy! We are doing great and Carson is growing and developing so quickly. I can't believe that a year ago we were doing all sorts of fertility treatments and shots and that today I can hold my little angel any time I want and be continuously amazed at the miracle that God has allowed us to experience!
*Baptism*
Carson was baptized on June 22. It was such a wonderful day and he did great. He cried when our pastor put the water on his head, but I think it was more because he was hungry than anything else!:) He wore a beautiful white suit and hat. there are pictures up on his website.
We were very lucky that family from St. Louis that we only see about once a year were here for Carson's baptism. It was such a special time and I was very emotional during and after the service. i cannot stop thinking about how blessed we truly are!
*development*
Carson has found his hands...and they are his new best friends. He will stare at them forever and tries to put the entire fist in his mouth! He loves holding onto me when I hold him, and it is a great feeling.
He rolled to his side from his tummy this past week, but got stuck on his arm so hasn't gone any further. He is smiling a giggling all of the time and really loves to hear his daddy's voice! He is really a very happy baby!
*2 month appointment*
His 2 month appointment was last wednesday and he has grown so much. He was 6lbs 6ounces and 20 inches at birth...and now is a whopping 11lbs and 23 inches...This boy is getting chunky!:) he is 25th percentile for weight and 50th for head and height. It seems like he eats a ton. He is now taking 5-6ounce bottles about every 4-5hours.
He did very well with his shots, I on the other hand cried more than he did I think! Eric was there too and did a wonderful job calming us both down, he is always our rational one!
*the vacation*
we had a wonderful time when we went to Indianapolis for Eric's family reunion. Carson did awesome in the car and slept as long as the car was moving...I even had to wake him up to eat! Eric's family fell in love with the little man, and I think he was held by someone the whole time we were there! It is so great to know that Carson has so much family to love him.
*work*
I had to start back to work last week. It was so hard to leave my little man, even though he was with his daddy! I am working 2 12 hour shifts one week and 3 12 hour shifts the next. I got through my first two days but tons of tears were shed. We have tried to work it out so that Carson will not need day care for a little while. I am working nights and weekends for a while so Eric can watch him, we will see how well this works out.
I hope to move to babies today soon, but we all know how fast change happens around here!!
