Well, hello everyone!
We had a great ultrasound on Monday (15th) and we confirmed the gender *evil grin* and all looks well. Speggie is head down, butt under right rib, legs tucked under left rib. We've got a long kid! David was 21 inches long, so I think it comes from him. Heartbeat was in the 140s. We're working on getting the pics up on the website - things are just very busy as I'm sure they are for all of us.
I had an appt. today and I've gained a whole 2 pounds...the same 2 pounds I've been gaining and losing all pregnancy! Cervix was checked and Speggie is still all tucked inside nice and tight. I have an appt. in two weeks (two week appts. already??). My BP was a little high (130/80) which is the highest it's been the entire pregnancy. We'll see what it does in a couple weeks.
We got the ViaCord collection kit yesterday, so I'll put that with the bag when we pack it. I told David calling ViaCord is his responsibility! I'll add the phone number to the "to call" list for him.
We're hanging here for Christmas. Last year we couldn't get a tree stand. This year we got a tree stand and can't get a tree! The one place in town that has trees left wants $80 for a 5 ft. tree - I don't think so. So we may be having our first tree together with Spegs next Christmas.
We bought a big pack of diapers at Sam's Club over the weekend, too. I kept saying "we just bought our first box of diapers..." What a way to make this feel real! I took them out of the box and put them up. I took one out and let the cats sniff it. Cece could have cared less, but Chiquita was wondering what it was, etc. He also figured out the Eurobath is in the tub. He's been trying to figure that one out ever since. He goes into the bathroom and just stares at it.
I had a hypnosis session last week and will be practicing self hypnosis this month. I have one more session in January. We'll see what happens. If nothing else, it will certainly help keep me calmer than I would be without it.
We are set up for our childbirth class in February. We got in with the lady we have heard is really good, so that's exciting.
My next appt. is Jan. 5th so I'll update after that.
Merry Christmas to everyone and have a blessed New Year! We will be very busy with church services and holiday open houses, but I hope we can take time out to remember what Christmas is all about and that's Christ.
