Allergies are something that we take very seriously -- you will be asked about them when you arrive at the hospital, by the nursing staff and probably by a few other people as well. The anesthesiologist will pay attention to any reported allergies before doing anything.
There is not really a good way of predicting when someone will have an allergic reaction to something -- unless, of course, they have had a reaction to that substance before. Minocyn is not an anesthetic drug and will not be involved in the anesthesia you are given for delivery. Having a reaction to Minocyn (or any other drug) does not increase the chance of having reactions to other, unrelated drugs. Similarly, having a "negative history" -- that is, never having any allergic reactions before -- does not mean much.
Luckily, true anaphylaxis is quite rare. While quite serious, treatments do exist for it and it can usually be managed once recognized.
Hope this helps some!
