What a wonderful idea. First of all you could decide on a theme. Maybe the children will be playing at a playground with swings and sliding boards, or at the zoo looking at monkeys and lions, or at Disney World with Mickey Mouse, or dreaming about their favorite character, i.e. “The Cat InThe Hat." The ideas are as endless as your imagination. The opportunity to incorporate children of all ages and also races and nationalities could be interesting as well.
Focus on what it is you are trying to accomplish with your mural. Then list all the ingredients you want to include. It would be a good idea to sketch out your idea – you don't have to be an artist to do this. For example, circles, squares and triangles can be representative of people, animals and trees. When you have your idea clearly in mind locate an artist and discuss your idea. Think about the colors you want to use and especially the intensity of the colors you are visualizing. Let your own creativity lead you in all aspects of the design. This can truly be an original and you the creator.
