Are the "non-alcoholic" beverages considered alcoholic even though they contain "less than one half of one percent alcohol by volume" as stated on the container? What about consumption of these by a pregnant woman?
Food labels have some degree of latitude, which is why beverages may call themselves non-alcoholic even though they contain some alcohol, albeit tiny amounts. Nonetheless, avoid them when expecting a child. There is known safe level for alcohol consumption during pregnancy, if one exists at all, and there's no reason to risk your baby's growth and development. Alcohol can do irreparable harm.
