What should I keep in mind in regards to safety while working out at the gym?
Answer:

Keeping yourself injury free and your baby safe should always be your first priority so make sure you:

  • Check with your doctor before beginning any new exercise and before continuing any activities in which you're already involved.
  • When taking a class, talk with the instructor so he or she can work with you and help you modify moves when needed.
  • Avoid over-crowded gym classes.
  • Keep an eye on your balance and go at your own pace so you always have control of your body.
  • Pay attention to how you feel. If you get dizzy or lightheaded or experience any other warning flags, stop immediately and check with your doctor.
