I had a cold salad at a friend's house that I loved! I'm 7 months pregnant and now crave it. What is quinoa and how do you cook it?
Answer:

Quinoa is a grain native to South America. It is high in protein and very nutritious. You can use it the same way you would use rice. Cook quinoa in 2 1/2 times as much liquid, covered, for 25 to 30 minutes. For example, use 2 1/2 cups of water or broth to cook 1 cup of quinoa.
